Princess Lillian: Protector of Nova by Zethurah Gillespie
Life for 6-year-old Zethurah Gillespie is grand adventure. At the helm of the adventure is her imagination and her ability to dream up stories for boys and girls around the world. Zethurah, like most children in elementary school, has spent the last year adapting to a new normal.
With in-person school closed and virtual learning in play, Zethurah found a way to claim her days as her own. She spent the summer drawing characters and coming up with ideas for a book. To her parents’ surprise, each day she would have more and more to add on. It was shaping up to possibly be something really cool.
Her mother told a friend over lunch about Zethurah’s desire to write a book and that friend told her about “Mrs. Rae”, who she had seen on Facebook. Rae Chesny was a published children’s author who had created a story creation program for children. Not sure if Zethurah was too young or if the program could be done virtually, her mother reached out to Chesny anyway.
The author was delighted to hear about the brilliant little girl with a plethora of ideas and a determination to create a story. Zethurah was just the type of child she had created the program for with a goal of amplifying their stories and voices. In mid-September of 2020, Chesny would begin mentoring Zethurah virtually for 6 months to bring the story to fruition.
With proceeds, Zethurah would like to be able to fund the next book in the Princess Lillian series.
